Hacı Bayram-ı Veli is a Sufi devoted to society. It endured the suffering, distress and problems of the society, and established social aid funds for this purpose; He has helped the poor, orphans, widows, strangers, the wayfarer, and science students. He gave moral education in his lodge, trained students in his madrasa and lodge, and taught them tafsir, fiqh, hadith, kalam and mysticism. When he was Molla Numan Efendi, the teacher of Ankara’s Kara Madrasah, after being under the spiritual training of Abu Humidüttin Aksarayî (Somuncu Baba), he devoted himself to the society in all aspects, struggled for the society, and realized that serving the public is service to God. He has become a fully mature human being. This is a striking example that shows us that those who succeed in combining science and mysticism will benefit more in their society.
